5 Activities to celebrate Earth Day with your kids!
1. Craft a cloth bag- you can reuse a shirt and add fabric paint to the outside or get a reusable bag from a craft store and decorate it together.
2. Create a Nature Journal- Observe wildlife. This is great for practicing patience and developing skills in noticing details. A nature journal is a great way to keep a record of the animals you observe where you live and for sharing with others.
3. Visit a National or State Park- This is a great way to appreciate landmarks both natural and man made and slow down to listen to what’s happening around you. You can also watch videos at home about national parks.
3. Feed the Birds- If you have a bird feeder have your littles help you fill it and watch what birds they see. You could also paint/craft a bird feeder to put out.
5. Take a closer look- Use a magnifying glass to look at bugs, leaves, plants, and plastic. Talk about what they see.
Wishing you all a fun filled day Earth Day!
If you did something else for Earth Day I would love to hear about it!
